After completing all tasks assigned and then some, this afternoon Pledge Uma’ta become Sister Uma’ta. Just prior to the ceremony we all went to the combat sparring grounds and Sister Uma showed us what she can do with a bow and spear, and it was impressive. The jungles will be a safer place with her in them and she has already volunteered to give the girls an escort when they need to travel the dangerous parts of the jungles. Congratulations Sis!

This afternoon Leu’s collar was locked as she became a kajira of the Wa Ngao. Leu is well thought of and we had just been waiting for the right moment to get together and finish her trial period. It is the En’s prerogative to rename a newly collared girl and Leu was renamed Zenani at the ceremony.

This afternoon at about 1PM, May 29th, Trade goods were transferred to the Veck En in exchange for the kajira Petals. The trade consisted of five sacks of black wine beans, one sack of wheat, one crate of palm wine, and one jar of honey. Carrying all these goods was our Kajira Jazz who is strong as an ox and a contender for mud wrestling champion. Representing and accepting the goods for the Veck En was their Se Maebh. Of course Veck En are continent Sisters so the girl does not go far and free to visit all she desires.

Today we welcome our new Sister Shy, who completed her pledge requirements previously. Today she took the Pledge of the Wa Ngao and became a full Sister. We have become familiar with our new sister and find her with great amounts of patience which could lead to work in tribal relations.

A busy week of activities for our annual celebration wrapped up today with a Jungle Dance Exhibition hosted by our own Sister Ame. Today’s dance exhibition brought in $37,475 L for Relay of Life. A fine exhibition of five dancers rounded the show. The show was broadcast on WHIP radio for all of Gor to enjoy.

Having completed the rigorous requirements expected of a pledge of the Wa Ngao and surviving the ordeal, Ariel took the pledge today and became a full Sister of the tribe. Ame has been dancing in SL Gor since 2007 it’s a strong passion of hers. It is her hope that more FW (and FM) in Gor will embrace this BtB art form and expression of emotion and storytelling. She has participated in RFL of SL since 2008 and dances today in honor of all those who are fighting and those who have lost the battle. It’s her sincerest prayer to see cancer wiped out in her lifetime.

Part of creating an authentic role as a Taluna is the creation and sharing of an interest-catching “backstory”. Such a story adds depth to the role chosen and gives others an opportunity to know your character, and you, better. The tribe gathered at the hunting camp in the southern jungles for a workshop on writing backstories. Sister Ama hosted and shared insight into both the creation of a new story, and the enhancement of an already existing story.
